Some basic considerations

• When your Number is in a House for an entire year, naturally the impact of this House is bigger than when your Number is in this House for a month or a day. Month and day Numbers trigger more immediate events.
• Combine attributes of Houses and their directions with attributes of your Number and other Numbers there. In other words combining Trigrams of Houses and Numbers.
• Directions meaning: any specific influence coming out of a direction and heading towards a direction.
• Directions also meaning: 45 degree sector of your house and other buildings seen from the center, directions of city, country.
• Directionoloy also means, you do not actually have to travel, i.e. facing a direction inside your house counts.
• The faster you or an object travels, the greater impact Qi will have.
• Pay special attention to where 5 is: opposite your Number, visiting your Number, or your Number visiting 5.
• Whatever you do, pay particular attention to the Numbers(s) opposite your Number for year, month or day. Whenever we say that a House is a plus pole, the opposite house will be the minus pole. The Luo Shu is one dynamic magnet, opposite Houses being strongly related.

Role of Houses and Numbers

• Please note that in itself each House and each Number can produce positive and negative effect.
• Qi in itself is impartial, it needs the quality of my own Qi resonance to be of positive or negative impact.
• Personal constitution, physical and emotional ondition as well as the choices I make impact influence of Qi. Study personal events and note the differences and nuances in different people of the same Number.
• In prediction we may tend to concentrate on the negative effect, because:
  1. we like to know on what negative events to anticipate, to concentrate on our do not's rather than do's.
  2. there is generally more attention for the negative news in the newspapers and on television.
  3. in studying nature we do not 'predict' or need to understand the beautiful and timely growing of trees and the flow of the worldseas. We want to reflect on the significance of the how, where and why of earthquakes, vulkano outbreaks, floods and other extreme events.

Having said this, some Nine Star Ki practitioners do not study global news at all, but stick to reflecting on biographies through the eyes of Nine Star Ki or follow history of theatre, economics and the likes.
