Here is a website from a much-respected practitioner in the Feng Shui scene, Master Eva Wong.
Eva Wong grew up in Hong Kong where she learned Feng Shui from her granduncle. She is a lineage holder of the Hsüan-K'ung (Mysterious Subtleties) school of traditional Chinese Feng Shui as well as a practitioner of the San-Yüan (Three Periods) and San-Ho (Three Combinations) schools. Years of experience have led her to become highly accomplished and regarded in both Feng Shui and Taoism. Ms. Wong is now based in Colorado, USA.
Ms. Wong is the author of two Feng Shui books;
Feng Shui: The Ancient Wisdom of Harmonious Living for Modern Times and A Master Course in Feng ShuiA Master Course in Feng Shui. She also wrote and translated several books on Taoism, such as Harmonizing Yin & Yang : The Dragon-Tiger Classic, Seven Taoist Masters, Teachings of the Tao, The Shambhala Guide to Taoism, The Art of Health, Longevity and Immortality and Tales of the Taoist Immortals.
On this website, Ms. Wong devoted a section to explaining Feng Shui basics. Some explanations are brief yet comprehensive. There are a few pages dedicated to explaining the fundamentals of Form and Compass school Feng Shui. They are indeed a huge difference from the many dos and don'ts originated from the Black Hat Sect school of thought, which is widely popular in the USA now.
A guide to choosing a good Feng Shui consultant is included. An introduction to the Luo Pan (geomantic compass) and Pa Kua (also known as Bagua) is meant for beginner and intermediate levels.
There are a couple of links to other Feng Shui sites. Ms. Wong is a strict traditionalist and hence all her links lead to sites which apply conventional Feng Shui. A mailing list is also available to those who wish to receive information on site updates straight in their inbox.
There is an online forum for those who want to ask questions and exchange opinions on Feng Shui. It is very much an open discussion and interesting questions are posed by both Ms. Wong and site visitors. However, this reviewer had a hard time grasping how the forum works. It would be more accessible if the Webmaster makes the forum more user-friendly.
Overall, this site is easy to navigate with pleasant fonts, which makes reading the articles easy. There are no flashy graphics and everything is pretty much straight to the point. Just like the lady herself.
