| Reading The News - Your personal Nine Year Cycle
|
|
House of 5 Earth
The House of your first breath: your Number was in this House when you were born. This year you tap into your own Qi. You should try to devote time for yourself.
This House may bring the start or abrupt end of projects. You may feel a bit desoriented - having lost inner 'north' - because this House provides you with a lot of opportunities coming in from all directions. People seek you for comfort and advise and you may have to decide on what or what not to react.
Your boat drifts on the stream and you may have the feeling of being quite capable, but unsure about direction. This may include desorientation as to what road to take: this huge career move or this huge step towards even wider spiritual limits. You may feel as if you are in the center of a round room with eight doors and have difficulty choosing the right one.
Take time out for yourself and for reflection. Remember the last two years - the 3 Wood and 4 Wood Houses - had been dynamic and filled with all types of new adventures and active social life. This is a good time to count your assets, moderate your initiative and redesign your effort and see which ones should be mobilized to get you through the business success of the next year to come. You will have opportunity to really distinguish between the right and wrong friends, the right and wrong plans while in 5 Earth. If you have the feeling that you cannot reach your peddles, allow your boat to flow on the stream. Around autumn of this year you will have set out course again and feel naturally drawn towards your inner orientation again.
House of 6 Metal
A fair feeling of desorientation of last year has come to an end. You experience success in the choices you were finally able to make and people will support you with time, energy and money.
You have great ability this year to convince people and a strange energy to manage people and projects.
This House is called 'Harvest' or 'Business Expands' for a reason. Your efforts of the past few years come to completion here.
You feel strong and determined. You are recognized for your special qualities and people like to learn from you.
Out of many applicants for a job, you are probably chosen. Whenever there are elections, watch this House: Number of elected person was most probably in this House.

It is the House of leadership, decision making and moral ethics. It is also the House where you - depending on your Number -may be inclined somewhat towards rigidity, but this is probably largely compensated by the fact that you will get the job done.
If you keep an eye on your social life, the withdrawl that you may feel inclined to while in this House may really help you to focus on things that matter and materialize your plans.
House of 7 Metal
Realization of past year's efforts and work. Also realization of your reputation and even re-establishing your name, both on a personal and professional level.
This House is known for the credibility that it can bring you, as well as giving strong management and finance. Do not sit back and wait for credit, go out to actively ask for it.
You are in a much more romantic Metal environment than last year in the 6 Metal House and the general feeling this year may be layed back. You notice and are noticed by the other sex.
It is a great time to re-decorate your house and even yourself as you may feel a certain sense for style.
You can socialize and spend money in the first half year. Prepare yourself for a big change next year in the second half of this year.
House of 8 Earth
This House normally brings significant changes. Looking back next year, you will probably agree that your situation has indeed completely changed while in the 8 Earth House.
Is there a way around a mountain? No, its magnitude is visible from great distances and when you get there it can be both quiet and viciously roaring.
The 8 Earth House brings with it big revolution in work, study or status. Possibly moving house.
I call this year 'catapult' year, for its power to shoot you into a completely new nine year cycle. A new cycle cannot come but after the conclusion of a former cycle and it may well be that you shall have to leave behind some things you took for granted.
In the amount that you distrust Change you will probably have a harder time this year. However odd the things happening here, however strange the decisions you seem to have to be making, nine out of ten exactly these will move you forward and take you to higher grounds.
Because of this you should be extra careful what you allow in your life and what to throw overboard. Burn old ships here.
Inner changes, start of religious initiative, change of diet and habits. Its the right time to make the change you have wanted to do a long time ago.
People may perceive you as a mountain too, because you may seem rather unapproachable and still.
House of 9 Fire
If you did burn down old ships last year, you may profit from this in the 9 Fire House and it will most definitely be unmistakable.
You may feel lifted upward and outward and may feel a natural attraction to people and masses even. Some people feel greater than life when in this House.
Great for communication and dealing with riscs you would normally avoid.
This year you will be recognized for the choices you made last year. Go for it.
This year might very well turn out to be your top year in your nine year cycle journey.
Be careful with 'acquaintances' outside your marriage. Possible exposure or scandal on uncomfortable scale. Possible re-occurence of old emotions, old patterns, or surfacing of illness because the yang of the sun may bring out the yin inside.
After great expansion comes contraction, so hold back on initiative already in January, minding next year's 1 Water House.
House of 1 Water
There are people with great achievements in the 1 Water House.
But, if this House is not working to your advantage, it is probably the worst year in a cycle of nine years.
Look back on nine years ago, or eighteen years ago to see how those years turned out for you.
If years that you occupied the 1 Water House came with great anxiety and loss, then keep low profile and do not start anything that you would like to see continued for many years: relationship, business.
Keep initiative to an absolute minimum and empty spaces in your agenda and time to yourself to a maximum.
Try not to travel too much and don't stay up late. Act only on patterns you known you can trust.
If you loose something - or any other hardship - it will most likely be associated with the Number opposite your own, so watch the Number in the 9 Fire House.
Overall choice here is to either stagnate or flow, be superficial or deep, look upon winter as the end of a cycle or the building up of yet another cycle.
The 1 Water House may be somewhat low for outward initiative, it is an absolute high for contemplation, pregnancy, withdrawal and supurb for inner initiative and deep esoterical studies. Your Qi penetrates deep within and mirrors your true spirit.
House of 2 Earth
Recovery from possible losses of past year for one, and great for making preperations for the year to come when you will occupy the 3 Wood House.
Depending on your adventures in the 1 Water House, you may want to be somewhat conservative around strong initiatives the first half year and use this period to repair your sword and gain strength.
Next year (3 Wood House) you will start a new impulse in an existing enterprise, so use second half of this year to save up energy: sleep, mind your diet, save up money, clean your house, attend to finances.
You may take up a study and read books and may experience renewed energies to do so.
You will find yourself minding the people around you in a most supporting and loving way.
Family life and ensuring social structures may be in the center of your attention.
Rather dull maybe, this year you may also feel a stronger inclination toward detail, helping you to keep your surroundings and plans together.
House of 3 Wood
After two fairly 'silent' years: what can go wrong this year.
Start of something new, probably in something you have been already familiar with.
A good year, with new creative impulses. Qi pushes you forward like a hand in your back, but make sure you can keep up with your Qi. Be active and trust on this wave of youthfulness to take you to the beach on your surfboard.
Your eyes may be drawing people towards you, as it may be your eyes also that see wider horizons.
You feel a new sense of growth and feel comforted in the thought that you could handle any challenge.
Be aware: too much impulse or taking on too much may bring nervous breakdown.
House of 4 Wood
Quick and continued growth, with last year's initiative branching out even more.
Though this house gives upward (leaves) and downward (roots) growth, roots are not yet firm into the soil.
Be careful how you proceed and go about things, but generally a successful year, good for socializing and meeting new friends.
Develope your creativity and see lots of people. You enjoy being amongst your friends this year and they enjoy you.
You feel compassion for people you normally would probably not mind.
