Feng
Shui in your Bedroom You
wake up one morning to find that you are just not having as much fun
in the bedroom as you used to. Or worse, insomnia has turned out to
be your best friend. Which means you wake up most mornings looking worse
than Grumpy. Suddenly, you and your partner seem to find spending quality
time together a chore rather than fun. You seem to be doing everything
right but thereŐs something missing. If you want to bring back that
old fire which ignited your passion for each other, read onÉ
1. This is a common oversight among many couples. Placing the bed in this position exposes both you and your partner to the harmful effects of sha chi rushing in the door. "Not tonight honey, I've got a headache". If this seem to be a line you're hearing once too often, this could be the real reason behind your partners headaches. The sha chi rushing in will place an enormous amount of force upon the occupants of the bed. Since the head is directly facing the door, it is only natural that headaches will follow. The best solution would of course be to move the bed away from the malignant sha chi. Where this is not possible, try this tried and true method. Use our patented Sha Chi Stoppers! . Place the stoppers between the bed and the door. Many practitioners recommend small potted plants; even cupboards and partitions can be used to certain degree of effectiveness.
2. Ever wake up in the morning feeling like a corpse? It may be because you went to sleep in the coffin position. Referring
to the picture you will see that our occupant's feet are pointing outside
the door. This is commonly referred to as the "coffin position" because
only corpses are laid to rest in this manner. If you find this is not possible, place a partition or barrier between you and the door. Look around and most Feng Shui practitioners will recommend sha chi deflectors. These could include miniature trees, Giant Black Tortoises, potted plants and even small cupboards.
Look
up! See anything unusual? Maybe an intrusive looking beam staring right
back at you? As
long as the beam hangs above you (it doesnŐt matter exactly where),
itŐs going to be placing pressure on you. Imagine trying to get some
sleep with a 200 pound dwarf sitting on your chest. DoesnŐt really paint
the picture of a peaceful nap, does it? Many
other practitioners have also advocated using metal elements tied in
red string. The idea here being that the beam is symbolic of wood and
the red string burns the wood, while the metal (coins) cuts the beam.
This is a concept borrowed from the productive and destructive cycle
of the elements. In similar fashion, a bed with a window behind it is said to be unsupported. This could superimpose upon your everyday life eventually. You may feel like youŐre not getting the necessary backing, either from family, spouse or colleagues. Many have recommended simply closing the windows all together by just drawing the curtains. Not only do I find this makes for a very yin environment (what with no sunlight), it doesnŐt REALLY work either. As
with the previous recommendations, the best solution would of course
be to move your bed. Ensure that there is a solid wall behind the back
of your bed now. However, where you find that you just cannot move the
bed, these tried and true tips might help. Hang a symbolic picture of
some mountains and rolling hills behind your bed. This will increase
the support for your sleeping position. Another method would be to place
a Black Turtle figurine just behind your headboard.
