The Art of Geomancy

In ancient times the first Luo Pan that was used was a very simple device with basically one ring denoting the 4 celestials animals each containing seven subdivisions of the heavens together with the Eight Trigrams or Guas.

Having said that, the most sophisticated part of this compass was theneedle itself, through various twists and turns it was able to tell the Feng Shui Master the presence of anything underground from "bones" to "Gold" and all of the various stages in between. So developed one of the earliest Feng Shui compass methods namely the Shui Peng Ba Zhen Fa or The Eight Needles Of The Water Compass.

Ancient Chinese dwellings were actually built within the ground, that is to say that on entering a building you would descend a few steps downwards, into the main living area with a central fire pit dug a few more feet into the earth itself. So I guess it was a pretty useful thing that the Master could tell what was actually underneath the ground, as the inhabitants seemed to be racing towards it!

This type of structure had two main advantages the first was that actually living within the earth itself made people realise that they were actually part of nature, that there was a total integration between the occupants and the environment with each being reliant on the other.

A fact sadly misunderstood in modern living, especially with the adventof high rise tower blocks where we try to get as far away from the earth as possible. This is not a natural way to live, and its no wonder that people get stressed in these environments, however with space constraints we have to use the only choice possible and that is to become aware of what the problem is and deal with it accordingly

So should you live or work within one of these structures try to bring in as much of the natural environment as possible with trees, plants, stones or crystals and of course water.

Heaven, Earth and Man
Secondly the residue from the fires actually neutralised harmful radiation's from the earth itself, the study of which today is called Geomancy. This deals with what is called Geopathic Stress, Black streams or Sick Building Syndrome. In Feng Shui we deal with the three aspects namely Heaven or fate, Man, our impact on an environment, and Earth, this is where Geo
mancy fits in.

Geomancy is not new, our ancient masters used it to find the dragon Qi.it's an Earth science. To understand this fully you should know that the Earth is essentially the same as us, it consists mostly of water, it has energy channels called meridians as do we. When one of these channels becomes blocked it puts more pressure on the rest of the system, interrupts the flow and causes disease. We then go to see an acupuncturist or doctor to analyse and cure the problem. Or we have the foresight to have regular check ups so we do not have this problem in the first place.

If you look back at all of our ancient figures from any civilisation you willsee that they all carried a staff or some kind of stick in their hand, this was a psychotronic device to allow them to feel the residual energies of the earth. That is to say, to detect blocked or vibrant earth meridians.

They called these Lung Mai or dragon veins and would decide the auspiciousness of the site from these before looking at any other aspects. Sadly this is a major factor ignored in modern Feng Shui teaching.

"Black streams" as they are commonly refered to on the human body. The scale rates from 1 - 16. With the following effects: 5-6 Obesityand swelling of joints. 7-8 Mental disorders, paranoia, schizophrenia obsessions, addictions, psycho-sexual disorders, suicides and location specific depressions. 9+ Cancer, Leukaemia, Multiple sclerosis, motor neuron disease, Parkinson's disease and many other wasting and paralyzing disorders of all types. Crohn's disease; candidiasis; Down's syndrome and other congenital genetic disorders;

Disorders which very commonly have a Geopathic stress component include insomnia and nightmares, sudden infant death syndrome, infertility, myalgic encephalomyelitis (post viral fatigue syndrome), migraine, asthma, eczema, arthritis and rheumatic disorders, and many other chronically depleted immune system conditions.

Baron Von Pohl even came to the conclusion that every single disease of humanity can be linked to black streams with the exception of gout. In addition to these meridians there is also a system of global grids that can also cause disease, but on the positive side there are also some that can reverse the effects and even help us to develop ourselves. Geomancy allows us to enhance the benefits of positive grids and reduce the effects of harmful o
nes.

As I mentioned earlier man has a direct effect on his environment, around our earth there is what we refer to as an "Etheric web" this is something that holds trauma or Sha Qi in place.

Typical examples of such traumas include the building of railway and motorway cuttings, tunnels and embankments, quarries and mines, and building foundations, especially those with steel footings. Also implicated are heavy industrial sites, power stations and electricity sub stations, military bases, steel pilings, poles and road signs. Old battlegrounds and historical sites of trauma such as witch-burnings and executions can also retain much Sha Chi, as can sometimes natural topography.

How to tell if you are you suffering from black streams?
Cats, owls, snakes, slugs and snails are attracted to black streams, and a cat's favourite sleeping place (in the absence of an obvious source of warmth) is very often a sure clue to the location of a black stream crossing. Insects, parasites, bacteria and viruses also thrive on black streams, and ant and wasps nests invariably provide a similar clue; a black stream is the right location for a beehive.

Clues to the path of a black stream in the vegetable world include lightning-struck trees dead or stunted gaps in hedges and avenues of trees, infertile fruit trees, cankers, and strangely twisted trees (usually in the direction of current flow). Fruit trees are the most sensitive, while oaks, redwoods and ashes are more resilient, and elders seem to be positively attracted.

Lawns will often betray bare patches, moss, silver weed and fungi, while vegetable gardens will reveal stunted or mutated growth, especially along the edge lines of the black streams. Ivy, bindweed, nettles, docks, thistles, foxgloves, ferns and nightshades are naturally attracted, and indeed the appropriate medicinal herbs for a sick person are usually to be found in the garden along the path of a black stream running through their bed

The path of a black stream can often be traced within the home by following the piles of chronically unresolved clutter across a house. Other clues include piles of rubbish, cracks in glass, brick and plasterwork, recurring mechanical and electrical breakdowns, derelict areas, and accident blackspots both within the home and outside. Fruit and vegetables, grain, ale, cheese, jam, wine and photographic film will all spoil quickly when stored on a black stream.

Sick building syndrome is generally rooted in the presence of black streams under the property. Sha Chi can be spread from the paths of the streams throughout the building by the steel construction frames, wiring loom and pipework, just as it is spread along railway tracks. Thus a steel framed cattle shed with a black stream running through it will usually feel much more unhappy than a brick and wood barn.

Bad neighbour syndrome can frequently be traced to a black stream flowing from aggressor to victim. Hauntings of earth-bound human ghosts and other entities, including poltergeist activity are invariably tied to negative earth energies.

So how do you cure it?
Well if you are suffering from any of the above and appear to have the tell tale signs you could have a consultation, from a Geomancer or Feng Shui Master and that should cure the problem.

If you are interested in helping people with these kinds of problems thenwe avidly teach students at our school how to identify and deal with every line or grid that they come across as well as all aspects of Feng Shui.

Alternatively as these problems appear from the Earth as usual theEarth provides a natural remedy. it's a natural vegetable carbon that you place on the main energy source of your building, (similar to ancient methods) and this will change the energetic frequencies of these black streams into ones that harmonise with the human body.
